FAR Rabat have the chance to open a five-point gap at the top of Group B in the CAF Champions League this Saturday. The Moroccan side takes on South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns on Match Day 2 of the competition. Let’s look at the preview and a prediction for this match.
FAR claimed a 2-0 against fellow Moroccans Raja Casablanca on Match Day 1. With the other clash in the group ending in a draw, they assumed early leadership of the group.
They backed it up with a 3-0 away win at JS Soualem in their domestic league. with that they come into this match unbeaten in the last three games. They’ve only lost once in the last nine matches.
South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns are having an indifferent season, even though a win over the weekend sent them top of the Premier Soccer League. They started their group stage campaign in the Champions League with a 0-0 home draw with Maniema Union.
They will hope to build on that and go a step better on Match Day 2, which promises to be a tougher game. Their 3-0 win over Sekhukhune United saw the South Africans return to winning ways after a two-match slump.
They are unbeaten in three Champions League matches and will be seeking to extend that.
