The New York Knicks travel to the American Airlines Center to face the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA on Wednesday night. The Mavs (4-11) are 13th in the Western Conference, while the Knicks (8-5) are fourth in the East. Let’s get into the match prediction!

The Dallas Mavericks have endured a dreadful start to the season and enter this match following a 120-96 hiding by the Timberwolves, which was their eighth loss in 10. 

Injuries have played a major role in Dallas’ downfall this term, but in truth, they’ve just not been the same since the Doncic trade. Huge weight has been placed on youngster Cooper Flagg, who, so far, has impressed, averaging 15.2 PPG. 

The Mavs are 3-7 at home this season. Kyrie Irving, Dante Exum, Anthony Davis and Ryan Nembhard are sidelined through injury, while Dereck Lively and Daniel Gafford are doubts. 

Meanwhile, the Knicks will start their four-match road trip after splitting their back-to-back against Miami, winning 140-132 at home before the Florida side bit back 115-113 on Monday. 

Without Jalen Brunson in the last match, New York’s three-point shooting lacked its usual rhythm as they managed just nine of 36 from long range. Miles McBride led the team with 25 points. 

These sides won one game apiece in their two-match series last season. OG Anunoby is out for the visitors, while Brunson and Kevin McCullar are questionable.
