Goals may be at a premium at Turf Moor on Sunday as Burnley host Swansea City in a battle between two of the three best defences in the Championship. The Clarets have conceded just six goals this season and lie fourth. The Swans have shipped just nine goals and occupy ninth. Will our prediction promise goals or a lack of them in this match?

Looking at the current data for Scott Parker’s Burnley, a win by any score would be a welcome boost for the Clarets. They have gone four games without a win, drawing three and losing just once. That was last weekend in a 1-0 defeat at Millwall, before they drew 0-0 with West Brom in midweek. 

Defensively though they have been excellent even on this poorer run of results. They have conceded just two goals in their last eight matches in the Championship and have shipped just two goals at home this season.

Under manager Luke Williams, Swansea have won both their last two matches to move up the table. A 2-1 win away to Oxford at the weekend was followed by a narrow 1-0 win at home to Watford in midweek. 

That ended a run of six games without a win, with the Swans drawing three and losing three in that run.
