Brazil are favourites to win the 2018 World Cup but they still aren't quite firing on all cylinders. They drew their opening fixture against Switzerland and it looked as if the next game against Costa Rica might go the same way until two very late goals, It was a better performance against Serbia as they won 2-0 with a goal in each half and seem to be growing into the tournament. At their best Brazil can win this tournament and it's not just about scoring great goals. Their defence has only conceded once so far in Russia and they have kept seven clean sheets in their last eight games. 

They face a Mexican side that did so well in their opening game against Germany getting a 1-0 win and then building on that to get a 2-1 victory over South Korea. Then they took on Sweden on Wednesday and ended up losing 3-0 and qualifying in second spot rather than winning the group and avoiding this clash with Brazil. They lost 3-0 despite having 67% possession and 20 shots but the counter attack did for them and it'll be interesting to see what team they play in this match. Do they stick with the one that beat Germany or make changes to try and somehow cope with the power of Brazil?  An interesting game but one that should be won by the Brazilians,

Brazil put in a much better performance against Serbia on Wednesday and that's a worrying sign for all the other teams in the 2018 World Cup. They are strong in all areas of the field and their defence is a lot more solid than some that Brazil have had in the past. All of which makes life very difficult for an inconsistent Mexican side. They did well in their first two games of this tournament but then suffered a 3-0 defeat by Sweden. That's not going to do their confidence any good whatsoever and team selection will be vitally important for this game. Everything points to a bet on Brazil winning this match and that's the suggested bet.
