Sixth-place Birmingham look to make it back-to-back league wins when they host 20th-placed Oxford for matchday three of the Championship season. Let’s get into the prediction for this match between the Blues and the U’s!

Birmingham were mere minutes away from capturing the full three points in their opening match of the campaign against Ipswich. However, a successful spot kick by George Hirst in stoppage time ensured that the Blues and the Tractor Boys would share the spoils at 1-1 to kick off their 2025-26 Championship campaigns.

Birmingham would build on that result though, securing a 2-1 home win over Sheffield United in the EFL Cup before grabbing their first league win of the campaign with a 2-1 victory over Blackburn.

It was a wild finish against Rovers, with Chris Davies’ side scoring a 90th minute equalizer and a 90+8 minute winner to steal the three points out from under Blackburn’s nose.

Oxford have gotten off to a slow start in this year’s Championship season with two losses from their first two outings. They did, however, manage a 1-0 home win over League Two side Colchester in the EFL Cup to avoid a winless start to their first three games.

They were wasteful against Portsmouth in a 1-0 home loss in the season opener, before a stoppage time goal by Hull saw the U’s sink to a 3-2 away defeat.
