Saski Baskonia will host Panathinaikos next in the EuroLeague, seeking their first win of the season. They enter this match in 18th place in the standings, while Panathinaikos are up in ninth. We have a prediction below.

Baskonia have had a poor start to the season. The Spanish team is on an eight-match losing streak across all competitions, having last won in May. Paolo Galbiati’s men have lost three games this season, twice in the EuroLeague.

After a 102-96 defeat at home to Olympiacos on matchday one, Baskonia travelled to Lyon, where they fell 102-95 to ASVEL.

Offensively, they have been superb, but it is on the opposite end where they have struggled. No team in the competition has allowed as many points thus far.

Panathinaikos have fared a bit better to start the season and come into this game as the favorites. The Greek giants won their season opener against Bayern 87-79 at home.

They could not, however, maintain this perfect start on matchday two, as they fell 103-96 to Barcelona. Ergin Ataman’s men have had the same defensive issues as Baskonia and sit in the bottom seven for points allowed.

Panathinaikos are seeking to win away in Baskonia for the first time since 2017.
