Kickstarting the qualifiers for the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League in the first qualifying round, Faroese club Vikingur will take on Gibraltar’s Lincoln Red Imps in a two-legged tie. The first leg of the match will be played on Tuesday at the neutral venue of Vio Djupumyrar in Klaksvik and comes with our prediction of under 2.5 goals.
The winner of this two-legged tie progresses to the second qualifying round against Red Star Belgrade. The loser will be transferred to the Conference League qualifiers.
Vikingur lost 1-0 at home to Klaksvik last week in their Premier League for their first defeat in their last five matches (W3, D1, L1). With three of the recent four matches in that sequence finishing with fewer than three goals, it looks like another low-scoring fixture is awaiting us.
