Victoria Mboko will look to continue with her excellent Canadian Open debut when she next faces the unseeded Marie Bouzkova. The two will battle in the third round to mark their first career meeting. Read on for our prediction of this match.

Mboko is having quite the tournament in Montreal. The young Canadian has dominated her path to this round and is yet to relinquish a set after two matches.

She overpowered Kimberly Birrell in the first round and then followed that up with a famous victory over 23rd seed Sofia Kenin. Mboko, who is having her best campaign at the tour level, has won 48 matches across all three tennis levels.

This has thrust her into the WTA top 100 at number 73 in the live ranking.

Bouzkova is also coming into this duel in excellent form. A former semi-finalist here, the Czech athlete has also not lost a set. She defeated Moyuka Uchijima in the first round and then 14th seed Diana Shnaider.

The win over Shnaider took Bouzkova’s current winning streak to seven, though she has dropped in the live rankings to 48th. Bouzkova, who arrived in Montreal having claimed the title in Prague, has lost 13 ranking points and dropped out of the WTA top 50.
