Jenson Brooksby is finally set to play his first competitive match in two years. The American, who has been kept from the court by injuries and suspensions, was last in action at the 2023 Australian Open.

It was his debut appearance in the major and he ended up making it to the third round.

Having defeated Fritz before, Brooksby, who is playing in Melbourne with a protected ranking, will hope for another such run. The 24-year-old won his only encounter with Fritz in four sets at the 2021 US Open.
