Hungary face Slovenia in Group II of the Main Round. Both countries still have a chance of qualifying for the Men's European Handball Championship semi-finals. Read our match prediction below.
Slovenia are third in this group, behind second placed Iceland on points difference. The top two go into the semi-finals and Slovenia will face Iceland in their final group fixture. Before that they face fifth-placed Hungary and Croatia who are fourth.
In the Preliminary Round, Slovenia finished top of Group D with wins over Montenegro (by a single goal) and then victories over Switzerland and the Faroe Islands, both by a three goal margin.
That took them into the Main Round where they lost 35-31 to leaders Sweden despite behind ahead at the break.
Hungary could only finish second in Preliminary Round Group F. They beat Poland and Italy but then lost their final group game to Iceland by a single goal. That meant they didn't have any points to carry forward to the Main Round.
The Hungarians drew their opening Main Round group match with Switzerland after trailing by six goals at half-time.
A win over Slovenia will take them above their opponents. They then face Sweden and Croatia.
