Hollywoodbets Sharks XV wouldn't have dreaded such a dismal start to their 2025 Currie Cup campaign. Four straight defeats have consigned the team to the bottom of the rankings and pressure has mounted on head coach Labeeb Levy to end this prolonged misfortune.

After a 26-17 defeat against fourth-placed Suzuki Griquas last week, Levy will hope to lead the team to their first win this season. They have won three of the last four home matches, including their most recent two encounters with Western Province. 

Western Province are also enduring a disappointing start to the campaign, losing each of their four Currie Cup matches this season. This includes a 31-24 away loss to Free State Cheetahs in their last match in Bloemfontein.

Notably, the defeat in Bloemfontein marked the Province's sixth straight Currie Cup defeat on the road dating back to last season. They have also lost three of their last four visits to the Kings Park Stadium.
