Round 2 of the Six Nations competition is set to get underway this week, with Wales making the trip north to take on Scotland at Murrayfield Stadium in what’s expected to be a fiery encounter. Warren Gatland’s return to the Welsh squad didn’t go according to plan, as he saw his side slump to a 34-10 defeat to a dominant-looking Ireland team. Wales were outplayed for the majority of that match, and the hefty defeat marked their biggest loss on home soil since 2001. Wales are ranked 9th in the world and finished second from bottom in this competition last year, recording just one win; however, that win did come over this opposition. They will need to make major improvements from their first match if they are to go back-to-back over Scotland in this one.

The Calcutta Cup holders, Scotland, got their Six Nations tournament off to the best possible start, recording a hard-fought win over their fierce rivals England at Twickenham last week. The Scotts moved up to seventh in the world rankings courtesy of that win and will be looking to close the gap on South Africa with another win in this match. In the last two Six Nations tournaments, Scotland followed up first-round wins over England with losses against Wales, but after seeing their opponent's poor performance in the first round, Scotland will fancy themselves to record a famous win in front of their home crowd this time.
