Ireland have won five of their last six games against Scotland and desperately need another one at Murrayfield on Saturday. They lost their opening Six Nations game to England last week and another defeat would all but end their hopes of winning the title this year. The Irish have made five changes for this game with Rob Kearney returning as full-back and Chris Farrell replacing Garry Ringrose. There are also three changes in the pack as Ireland look to get their campaign back on target.

Scotland as expected began the tournament with a 33-20 home win over Italy. Some late scores by the visitors produced a scoreline that didn't quite reflect the superiority that the home side had. Conceding late tries isn't something they can afford to do in this match. Head coach Gregor Townsend was pleased with his side's performance but admitted the closing period of the game was disappointing. Blair Kiinghorn scored a hat-trick last weekend but has been left out of this weekend's line-up with Johnny Gray coming into the team. Prop Simon Bergham and back-row Josh Strauss also come into the team. This is bound to be a toughly-fought game but Ireland will be determined to get back into winning ways and can get a narrow win..
