Scotland welcomes France to Murrayfield in this third round encounter in the Guinness Six Nations. The home team are in fourth position on the table with five points while the visitors are in top spot with nine points. Scotland suffered a heartbreaking 20-17 loss away to Wales in the last match which denied them the opportunity to go top of the table. They will be confident in this match as they last lost at home to France in the Six Nations back in the 2014 season. This match is like a final for Scotland as a loss will almost certainly end their title ambitions for another year. The home team have shown time and again their notorious fighting spirit especially at home and they will need to be at their best against a French team that is rightly being billed the tournament favourites.

France are the only unbeaten team in the competition but will be severely tested in this match. They came through their last match with an excellent 30-24 win over Ireland although they did look patchy at times in the victory. France will have revenge on their mind after Scotland beat them on the final day of last season’s Six Nations and denied them the title. They have a very poor recent away record with only one win in their last four matches. France will be looking to World Player of the Year Anton Dupont to lead from the front in this match as a victory in this match will put them in pole position to win their first title since 2010.
