The 11-19 Utah Jazz travel to Texas to take on the 23-7 San Antonio Spurs in the early hours on Sunday morning in an NBA Western Conference matchup. The home side are 2nd while their visitors are 12th in the standings ahead of us looking at the game to make a prediction.

Things have been going great for the Spurs this season, enjoying their best campaign in a long time. They have missed the playoffs six straight years coming in but have proved to be as strong as any team in the West.

Eight straight wins have them right on the heels of the West leading Oklahoma City Thunder who they have beaten three times in that sequence. No team in the league is hotter and they can continue that here.

The Jazz continue to have a tough time of things, just 3-9 on the road so far this season. Things don’t get any easier for them here but they picked up a win at home against Detroit last night which was a shock to most in the league, with the Pistons on top of the East.

This is the first of three meetings within a month between these two sides. They will be boosted by the Detroit win but their defence in the second half of a back-to-back has been poor.
