Rangers have had a shambolic start to the Europa League but hope to tap into their recent domestic performances. The Scottish giants are set to face SC Braga with nine points standing between them in the league phase. We have a prediction for this match below.
Hosts Rangers haven't had a stable season and are already being managed by a third manager in just the opening three months of the season. The current man in charge, Danny Rohl, has injected some stability, and home fans will be hopeful of a first win in the Europa League.
The Gers have lost all four opening games. Braga will arrive for this game looking to stop any semblance of positivity in Glasgow. The Portuguese side has bagged three wins in the four opening matches, placing them fifth in the standings. After three opening wins, however, Braga somehow fell 4-3 at home to Genk in the last round.

Rangers - SC Braga: Form Analysis
Rangers’ purge after a poor start to the season didn’t end with the managers. Two board members were also sacked recently, and home fans will hope that lifts the mood.
The new manager has managed to instill that, with Rangers now on two straight wins. Can they extend the same against an in-form opponent? That’s the big question.
Their form in Europe is so poor, they have lost all four, conceding eight and scoring just once. That run has left the hosts at the bottom of the 36-team table.
In their last Europa League outing, Rangers fell 2-0 at home to AS Roma. That made it seven winless outings in Europe.
Braga have already won in Scotland this season, beating Celtic 2-0.
Braga have posted impressive results in their recent matches and will be favorites to extend the same here. In Europe, they’ve posted three wins in the last four matches.
Last time out in this competition, they were shocked at home by an equally good Genk side. The match ended 4-3 in favor of the Belgians.
Braga’s 4-2 win against Nacional in the Portuguese Cup means they’ve now won two straight games after that defeat. They have lost just twice in their last 10 matches, winning seven in that run.
Their loss to Genk aside, Braga have been great defensively in Europe. They have eight clean sheets in their last 11 continental matches.

Rangers & SC Braga Squad Analysis
At a time Rangers hope things go well for them, they don’t. The Gers are grappling with a long list of injuries, key among them being defenders. Three defenders, all center backs, will be ruled out of this game.
Scot John Souttar is out with a muscle injury, which is to keep him out till late December. Derek Cornelius is also going to be missed here, as he also nurses a muscle injury, keeping him off until the new year.
It happens to be the same duration out for Dujon Sterling, who has an Achilles tendon injury. Bailey Rice, a defensive midfielder, is another player ruled out here.
Rangers have at least four defensive players ruled out of this match.
Braga will not arrive here with similar injury woes as their hosts. Jonatas Noro is the only player ruled out, but mostly featuring in the B team, he will not rank as a major absentee.
Ricardo Horta will have the chance to extend his scoring run here. The Portuguese forward has eight goals this season but will want to add to his one in the Europa League.
In the last two matches, he scored three times and will trouble this injury-ravaged Rangers side.

Our Rangers vs SC Braga Prediction
This match doesn’t come at a very good time for Rangers. It finds the hosts dealing with major upheavals and a poor run in Europe. Their last three home matches in continental action ended in defeat. They have never lost four such games on the bounce, but the threat is real this time.
Braga have three wins in their last four Europa League matches and have already tasted victory in Scotland. They come here on a good run and will be favored to bag the points. Our prediction for Rangers v Braga is that SC Braga wins.
Rangers vs SC Braga - Other Interesting Predictions
Braga to win with a clean sheet.
Rangers have scored just one goal in their opening four matches this season in the Europa League proper. While there have been some positives at the club in recent weeks, the same may not be replicated here.
That is because Braga carry a very good run into this game and are on eight clean sheets in their last 11 matches in Europe. One of those clean sheets happened to be here in Scotland, against Rangers’ rivals, Celtic. Our second prediction is Braga to win with a clean sheet.
