Novak Djokovic may have won the ATP Tour Finals five times, but not since 2015. He takes on Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals of the 2021 event, with the winner up against Daniil Medvedev in Sunday's final. Djokovic often struggles in this tournament due to being fatigued after a long and hard season. He's had a more relaxed schedule this year and returned from a break to win the Paris Masters. His good form shown in that tournament has been repeated, if not bettered, in Turin. He began with a match against Casper Ruud and won the first set on a tie-break. Since then, he won the second set in that match and then beaten Andrey Rublev and Cameron Norrie in straight sets. Those five sets have seen the world number one lose just 10 games. He's won seven of his 10 previous matches against Zverev and six of the last seven. The most previous meeting was at the US Open this year, winning in five sets. He's also beaten him this year at the ATP Cup and Australian Open, but Zverev did beat him at the Olympics.

Zverev went on to win the Olympic title, one of five that he has won this year. That includes Masters events in Madrid and Cincinnati, but no Grand Slam titles. This week has seen him beat Matteo Berrettini with the first set won on a tie-break before his opponent retired in the second set. He lost in three sets to Daniil Medvedev (two tie-breaks in that match) but clinched his place in the semi-finals with a straight sets victory over Hubert Hurkacz. Djokovic looks to be in the kind of mood where he is incredibly difficult to beat. Back him to win this.
