Game 2 of the NBA Eastern Conference final between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers is on deck on Friday night at Madison Square Garden. The Pacers beat the Knicks in midweek to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The New York Knicks will be kicking themselves after squandering a 14-point lead in the final three minutes of regulation time in Game 1 before losing the match 138-135 in O/T.

Indeed, the Knicks' defence fell apart down the stretch in midweek, and their lack of depth was clearly evident with none of their bench players managing to get into double digits. 

On the positive, Jalen Brunson once again had an excellent night with 43 points and five assists, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 35 points and 12 rebounds. 

Meanwhile, despite looking as though they were well-beaten at the start of the fourth quarter, the Indiana Pacers again showed their never-give-up attitude and now have the advantage.

Aaron Nesmith led the comeback with 30 points, including back-to-back threes in the final three minutes, before Tyrese Haliburton took charge, hitting clutch baskets, including the leveller before the buzzer. 

All of Indiana’s starters ended with double-digits, while their bench contribution of 31 points proved to be vital once again.
