Second seed Jannik Sinner has been in excellent form at Roland Garros this week. He's won all three of his matches in straight sets and now takes on unseeded Corentin Moutet in round four. A win will take him into the quarter-finals where possible opponents include Hubert Hurkacz and Grigor Dimitrov. Sinner is currently top of the live rankings (a rise of one place) and the ATP Live Race. If he can get past Moutet, it'll take him into the last eight of this clay court Grand Slam for only the second time. The only other quarter-final he's reached at Roland Garros was four years ago but this is his third appearance in the fourth round in four years. The year began with him winning the Australian Open and on clay he made it to the last four in Monte Carlo and then the quarter-finals in Madrid but he didn't play due to being injured. His three straight sets wins this week have all been against unseeded opposition with 32 games lost in nine sets.

Corentin Moutet is in round four of a Grand Slam for only the second time in his career. The Frenchman made it to this stage in the US Open in 2022 but his previous best at Roland Garros was the third round five years ago. He was 79th in the last rankings but this run to the last 16 has seen him climb to 56th. That's only five places below the career-high he set in 2022 and a win over Sinner can take him as high as 44th. He has had some success already this year on clay. The last four was reached in Santiago and a quarter-final in Bucharest. So far at Roland Garros, he's beaten 16th seeded Nicolas Jarry, Alexander Shevchenko and Sebastian Ofner, all three matches being won in four sets. This is far tougher and we go for Sinner to win in straight sets.
