The Miami Heat will play host to the Phoenix Suns at Kaseya Center in the NBA on Tuesday night. The Heat (20-19) are eighth in the Eastern Conference standings, while the Suns (24-15) are sixth in the West. Let’s get into the match prediction.

The Miami Heat have been slipping in the standings, having now lost four of their last five games, following a 124-112 loss to the Thunder on Sunday. 

While losing to OKC isn’t a reason to sound alarm bells, what is a concern for the Heat was losing to the Pacers before that. Another major issue for the team has been the performance of Bam Adebayo, who has been very poor of late. 

On the positive, though, Miami still ranks third in defensive rating and is playing at the fastest pace in the league. They also have a solid 13-6 home record to date. 

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA, having now won eight of their last 10 games after downing the Wizards 112-93 on Sunday. 

A major positive for the Suns is that, despite their high-profile departures, they are getting solid contributions from their roster. Against Washington, six players finished with double-digits, led by Royce O’Neale’s season-high 19 points. 

Phoenix have also excelled on defence this season, currently ranked fourth. However, they will want to improve on the 15.5 turnovers per game they are currently conceding.
