The 1-4 Miami Heat host the 2-3 Indiana Pacers in this Eastern Conference clash in the NBA on Friday. With the Pacers missing their offensive conduit and the Heat finally getting off the mark, our prediction backs the hosts to show up in South Beach.
The Indiana Pacers were dealt another tough blow with the news that their star point guard Tyrese Haliburton will be out for at least a few weeks with a hamstring issue. This is off the back of missing the entire 2025-26 season with an Achilles rupture.
The Pacers found it tough to get wins on the board without Haliburton last year, managing a 19-63 record.
And the signs aren’t good this time around either, as Indiana fell to a 114-109 home loss to the 76ers in their last outing, the first game this season without Haliburton. They’ve now lost their last two in a row and three of their last four overall.
The Heat finally got their season rolling with a 129-117 road victory over the Atlanta Hawks for their first win of the new season. They had previously lost their first four straight games.
Miami made waves in the summer as they acquired the services of superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis finished the Hawks win with 24 points and 18 rebounds, and Miami fans will be hoping this is a sign of things to come.
