Lyon will be looking to bounce back when they resume domestic action, with a home game against Monaco in Ligue 1. Sixth-placed Monaco will be favorites to bag three points here as they visit their fourth-placed opponents. Between the two is a four-point buffer, and below we have a prediction.
Lyon are on a freefall. The team that recently posted 13 straight wins across all competitions has failed to win any of their last seven. The latest of them saw their elimination from the Europa League at the hands of Celta Vigo.
Les Gones lost 2-0 at home, crashing out of a second competition in two weeks. They now trail third place by two points and will be hoping to avoid dropping more points.
Monaco would not have wished for a better time to take on Lyon. Les Monegasques were eliminated from Europe earlier and thus had a whole week to prepare.
