Lorenzo Sonego vs Frances Tiafoe Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Miami

12th seed Frances Tiafoe takes on unseeded Lorenzo Sonego in the Miami Masters third round. The match will be the third between the two players and will see the winner advance to play either fifth seed Felix Auger-Aliassime or 25th seed Francisco Cerundolo. Sonego is having an inconsistent season so far and has a losing record having lost eight of his 15 total matches. He is yet to win more than two matches in succession but having defeated Tiafoe the last time they met, five months ago, he will fancy his chances here. He has performed considerably well in Miami after arriving with a two-match losing run and has won his two matches, dropping just one set in the process. He came back from a set down to defeat Daniel Evans 2-1 after getting the better of Dominic Thiem in the first round in straight sets. The world number 59 has since moved up to 53rd in the live ranking as a result of this and can move further up to 45th with a win here.

Frances Tiafoe is having a much better season than Sonego . He made it through to the semis at Indian Wells which is his highlight of the year so far. The American has made it as far as the quarterfinals here in Miami but that was four years ago. He has however never lost at this round before and that will fuel him some more after looking shaky in his second round win over the qualifier Yosuke Watanuki. Just like Sonego, Tiafoe was forced to come back from a set down to book this round and needed seven games to level matters in the match.
