French number one Ugo Humbert will launch his campaign at the Indian Wells with a second round match against Kei Nishikori. This will mark the first meeting between the two players and the winner will meet Holger Rune or Corentin Moutet next. We have the prediction for this match.

Nishikori’s injury woes are far from over. In three sets, he managed to get past Jaume Munar in the first round.

However, it wasn’t smooth sailing as he had to call for a medical timeout. He needed a third-set tie break to see off the Spaniard.

Ugo Humbert will be eyeing his second title of the season after retaining his Marseille gong. Like his opponent, Humbert hasn’t enjoyed a smooth 2025, having to deal with a hip injury in February.

Eager to prove himself at the big stage, Humbert arrives at the first Masters event of the season having won just three of his seven matches at Indian Wells.

He comes here having lost to Tallon Griekspoor in the second round in Dubai. That loss in three sets halted Humbert’s run of six straight wins, which he will be looking to restart here.
