Karen Khachanov vs Jesper De Jong Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP French Open

13th seed Karen Khachanov is playing in only his second clay court third round of the year. He will face lucky loser Jesper de Jong in the last 32 at Roland Garros. Khachanov has never lost to his opponent and our prediction is that he will maintain that record.

The fourth round opponent for the winner will be either second seed Alexander Zverev or unseeded Quentin Halys.

Khachanov has twice reached the last eight of this outdoor Grand Slam, most recently in 2023. His best performance on this surface in 2026 has been a quarter-final in Rome. So far at Roland Garros, the Russian has beaten Arthur Gea in straight sets and Marco Trungelliti in four. He's played three tie-breaks.

The one previous meeting between these players was in this year's Rotterdam indoor hard court tournament with Khachanov winning in three sets.

Jesper de Jong is in round three at Roland Garros for the first time. He didn't expect to achieve that landmark this year as he lost in the final qualifying round to Michael Zheng. Reprieved as a lucky loser, the Dutchman has beaten Stan Wawrinka (in four sets) and Federico Cina in three.

This is his first third round in an ATP Tour clay court event this year.
