I wonder what the odds were on both Manchester City and Real Madrid conceding four goals at home on Saturday? Enough to pay for any Christmas I imagine. The 4-1 loss to Liverpool was as much a shock as Madrid's humbling by Barcelona and they face a tough task away at Juventus. There's one good thing though and that is they have already reached the last sixteen after three straight wins after beginning their campaign with a home loss to their opponents this evening. City lead the group by one point and a win will clinch top spot but they are lacking some vital players at present. Aguero may well be back but it's the defence that is City's big worry. With Kompany on the sidelines their defence isn't a patch on what it can be and that was illustrated on Saturday. Juventus have had a strange old season so far. They started terribly in Serie A but did well in the Champions League. Now they're up to sixth in Serie A only nine points behind the league leaders Inter. They've only lost one of their last ten games in all competitions and have four points from their two home games in this group. I think they can get the win that will take them into the last 16, especially if City defend like they did against Liverpool.
