Alexander Zverev is the highest remaining seed at Roland Garros. The second seed will face lucky loser Jesper de Jong in round four on Sunday. Zverev has been so consistent on tour this year, especially on clay and our prediction here is that the German will win in straight sets.

The winner will play either 27th seed Rafael Jodar or unseeded Pablo Carreno Busta in the last eight.

Alexander Zverev is one of the best players never to win a Grand Slam. With so many seeds losing in this outdoor clay court Grand Slam, that may be a title he finally loses next week.. Zverev has reached at least the last four in six of the eight singles tournaments he has played in 2026.

On clay, the 29-year-old has reached the Madrid final and two other semi-finals.

So far in Paris, he has beaten Benjamin Bonzi, Tomas Machac and Quentin Halys, losing just one set.

Jesper de Jong had never made it past round two of a Grand Slam before this tournament.. That poor run looked as it had continued when he lost in the qualifying rounds. Then the Dutchman was reinstated as a lucky loser.

Since then, de Jong has won three matches, most recently beating the 13th seed Karen Khachanov in five sets.
