The final of the Miami Masters sees fourth seeded Danill Medvedev take on the tenth seed Jannik Sinner.   Medvedev, ranked fifth in the world, has had an incredible season to date and boasts an excellent record of 28 wins and just three losses in 2023. Reaching the final here in Miami is the fifth consecutive title decider that the Russian has reached and he tops the ATP Race. The Russian has already lifted three trophies this year in Rotterdam, Doha, and Dubai, with his only loss in finals coming at Indian Wells against Carlos Alcaraz. In this tournament, Medvedev has only dropped one set on his way to this final. That was in the last four when losing the middle set to fellow Russian Karen Khachanov  With a 5-0 head-to-head advantage over this opponent (inlcuding a win this year), Medvedev will be expecting to extend that record and win his fourth title of 2023.

Sinner gets his opportunity to seek revenge over Medvedev in this one after he lost to Medvedev in the final at Rotterdam in February. Following that tournament, Sinner has won one title this year though. His last tournament was in Indian Wells where he was knocked out by the in-form Carlos Alcaraz in the last four. However, here in Miami, Sinner has looked excellent and overcame the likes of Grigor Dimitrov and sixth seededAndrey Rublev in the earlier rounds before he recorded his best win of the year over Alcaraz in the semi-final after losing the first set. Sinner will be riding a wave of confidence following that semi-final win and will be quietly confident that he can break his duck against this opponent in this match.
