Second seed Novak Djokovic faces the young Scottish player Jacob Fearnley in the Wimbledon second round. For the winner, there's a match in the last 32 against either 30th seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry or unseeded Alexei Popyrin.
Seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic made his return from Injury on Tuesday. His participation had been in doubt due to a knee injury but he beat qualifier Vit Kopriva for the loss of only five games. The Serb is second in the live rankings but unable to go any higher even if winning an eighth title.
In the Live ATP Race, he's down in 13th place but a good run here will see him back in the top ten. He's yet to win a tournament this year nor has Djokovic reached a final. The last one he played in was last year's ATP Finals..
Jacob Fearnley was ranked 525th in the world before he won the Nottingham Open Challenger Tour event. He had to win seven matches to lift that grass court title and was only the second time he'd played in the main draw of a Challenger Tour event.
The 22-year-old (23 on July 15th) is up to a career-high 220th in the live rankings. That's a rise of 57 places after he beat Alejandro Moro Canas in straight sets on Tuesday. Fearnley is playing in his first Grand slam tournament but we see him losing this in straight sets.
