25th seed Jack Draper is one win away from his first Grand Slam quarter-final. He takes on unseeded Tomas Machac in round three. Who’ll win? Read our prediction for this match.

Draper has already got a good record in this hard court Grand Slam. He is playing this tournament for only the third time and has never lost before round three. He’s in the fourth round for the second year in a row and has an excellent opportunity here to make it into the last eight.

The British player has had wins over Zhizhen Zhang, Facundo Diaz Acosta and on Saturday, Botic Van de Zandschulp. All of that has been achieved without dropping a set. He's now 26th in the live rankings but can climb to a career-high 23rd if beating Machac.

If he can win though, it'll be the first time he's beaten the Czech. Three previous meetings have all ended in defeat but this is their first match on an outdoor hard court.

Machac has finally been winning matches in the US Open. Three previous visits to New York have seen him fail to get past the first round. The 23-year-old is in the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the first time.

He'd reached round three in both the Australian Open and at Roland Garros this year. Wins have come against Corentin Moutet, 16th seed Sebastian Korda and David Goffin and is yet to lose a set.

Those wins have taken him to 35th in the live rankings and a win here will see him go above his career-high of 33rd.  Beating Draper will take him into his third ATP hard court quarter-final of the year.

Both players are in good form and we tip Draper to get the victory but both players to win a set.
