25th seed Jack Draper is in his first Grand Slam quarter-final. The British number one takes on the tenth seed Alex de Minaur for a place in the last four. Can he get through? Read our match prediction.

This has already become the Grand Slam that Draper has achieved the most success in. In two previous visits to play in this hard court tournament he's reached the third round on each occasion.

Last year saw him get to the fourth round but he's gone one step further this year. Wins have come over Zhizhen Zhang, Facundo Diaz Acosta, Botic Van de Zandschulp and in round four, Tomas Machac. He's now a career-high 23rd in the live rankings.

All have been won in straight sets but de Minaur is the first seed he's had to face. He's had three previous matches against the Australian and lost all of them. Two were on hard courts and in all the matches, both players won a set.

Alex de Minaur is in his third consecutive Grand Slam quarter final.  It's his fourth overall but he's yet to win one. His only other last eight appearance in New York was in 2020. He's tenth in the live rankings.

In the Live ATP Race, the Australian is seventh and in with a good chance of making the end-of-season Tour Finals. To reach the last eight, he's had wins over Marcos Giron, Otto Virtanen, Daniel Evans and Jordan Thompson.
