World No. 3 Ireland square off with seventh-ranked Australia in the third Test of their 2025 Autumn Nations Series. The Shamrocks will look to maintain their dominant record against the Wallabies in this crunch tie. Here is our prediction.
Ireland fell 26-13 to World No. 2 New Zealand in their opening test in this Autumn Internationals. However, they bounced back in their last match, easing past Japan 41-10 over the weekend.
Notably, the last time Ireland tasted defeat against a lower-ranked opposition was in March 2025 when they fell 42-27 to eventual champions France in the 2025 Six Nations championship. They have swept their next four Tests against similarly lower-ranked teams since then and won their last four Tests against Australia, but by tight margins.
Australia's end-of-year European Tour is not going as planned. The Wallabies fell 25-7 to World No. 4 England in their first Test in the campaign and then 26-19 to lower-ranked Italy in their last match.
They have lost six of their last eight tests, but have notably kept four of those within competitive margins. Moreover, each of their last four defeats to Ireland have been by single-digits. Hence, our tip for the prediction.
