La Vuelta - Stage 15 Predictions & Betting tips - International

Stage 15 of La Vuelta is the last one before the second rest day. Although there are plenty of lumps and bumps, there are only actually three Category 3 climbs to take, with a long downhill and a flat final 8km. That should make it a sprint for the likes of Visma’s Wout van Aert and Matthew Brennan.

Of course, the issue with Brennan is whether Team Visma want to lead with him or van Aert. Brennan has three stages so far in La Vuelta which could make him their number one contender to pick up what should be a sprint finish, but he was behind Van Aert on Stage 13 when it mattered.

Van Aert is the current holder of the green jersey and any extra points are going to be a big plus for him. He has a stage win as well on this year’s La Vuelta and he also picked up the stage win the last time the race rolled into Cordoba in 2024.

La Vuelta also visited Cordoba in 2021 when the winner was Magnus Cort. A six-time stage winner in this race during his career, he already has a runner-up effort this year on Stage 10 before finishing fourth the next day behind Brennan.

Finn Fisher-Black continues to have a great Vuelta, picking up his fourth top 10 finish on a stage on Friday. This sort of rolling terrain is perfect for his skillset and he is likely to be in the mix once more.

La Vuelta - Stage 15 - International prediction key points

There are 189.7km to be covered on Stage 15.
Three Category 3 climbs stand in the way of the peloton but there are plenty of other small climbs for a total of 3,347 vertical meters of climbing.
Wout van Aert won a very similar stage to this on Stage 13 with Brennan in third.
That gives him four stage wins in this race on just his second time riding it.

Our La Vuelta - Stage 15 - International prediction

This is a tough stage to predict with the likelihood that Visma continue to go stage hunting with their riders. Matthew Brennan is the top sprinter in their team and has won three stages already for them at La Vuelta but they also have Wout van Aert who is the green jersey leader. At this stage, perhaps protecting the latter is the more important job so we will narrowly lean that way for this stage. Our La Vuelta Stage 15 prediction is Wout van Aert wins.
