Two traditional giants of Serie A history will take the field on Sunday at the Allianz Stadium in Turin as Juventus host AC Milan on matchday three. With both teams winning their first two games of the season, there’s a lot riding on the result. That is why the ‘Old Lady’ and the ‘Rossoneri’ are likely to play a tight game, but will that result in a low-scoring fixture?
Juventus have been defensively solid in the season, keeping clean sheets in both their victories so far. Milan made a great start to life under Ruben Amorim, who is on the verge of history if he can make it three wins out of the first three league games in charge of the club.
The recent fixtures between these clubs have been extremely tight, with goals very scarce. Juventus have an edge in their recent games, but Milan have been a tough nut to crack when they visit this venue. Which will hold sway this weekend? Juventus - AC Milan: Form Analysis
Juventus started the league campaign with a 1-0 away win at Frosinone and a 2-0 home win over Parma last weekend. They can now keep clean sheets in their first three league games of a season for only the second time in the last ten years.
The ‘Old Lady’ haven’t been extremely dominant at home but have been solid with their results. Four wins from their last seven Serie A games at this venue (D2, L1) suggest that Juventus are likely to give their all in extending their winning start to this season.
Juventus’ last six home competitive matches have produced exactly two goals.
Milan have settled into their life under Ruben Amorim successfully, as was evident in their 2-1 away win over Torino and a 2-0 home victory over Venezia. The Portuguese tactician can now become just the fourth manager in the history of Milan to win his opening three games.
Away form still remains a challenge for the visitors, who have a mixed record in their last six away league games (W3, L3).

Juventus & AC Milan Squad Analysis
Andrea Cambiaso and Weston McKennie are both doubts for Juventus, who also have long-term injuries for Kenan Yildiz and Kephren Thuram, among others, to contend with.
Luciano Spalletti could stick to his formation of 4-2-3-1 with Kolo Muani likely to be their lone striker. Nick Woltemade, a loan signing on transfer deadline day, may have to wait to get his first start. Pape Matar Sarr arrived from Tottenham but is unlikely to replace Manuel Locatelli or Douglas Luiz.
Milan’s Goncalo Ramos has scored their winner against Venezia.
The new signing will stay up front in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation, with Rabiot and Cisse set to slot right behind him. Veteran midfielder Luka Modric will continue to hold the central slot as Milan hope to get a key win early in the season.
Mattia Gabbia is an injury concern for Milan, who have no other problems with the squad. New arrival Omari Hutchinson will have to wait for a start and could start on the bench.
