Magnolia are the third seeds so it's a surprise they are ahead of the second seed Meralco Bolts. It's been a series of tense matches so far and another may well be on the way here. The Bolts got their first win in match three but the Hotshots regained their two-match lead in the next. That left the Bolts needing to win three in a row to reach the final. The most recent game saw them keep their hopes alive with a four point win. That didn't look likely after losing the first quarter by ten points. The Hotshots will want to avoid a deciding match and they can battle back to win this match and go through to the final.
