Fireworks await at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday as Northampton Saints and Exeter Chiefs lock horns in a blockbuster Premiership Rugby final. With their season-leading 14–1–3 record and strong recent head-to-head record against Exeter, Northampton Saints are clear favorites here, hence our prediction tipping them for a comfortable win.
After ending their 10-year Premiership drought in 2024, Northampton Saints are now one win away from adding a third Premiership Rugby title to their trophy cabinet. For a team that finished eighth in the regular season last year, this run to the final is a remarkable improvement. Can they cap their resurgence with a much-needed victory on Saturday?
Exeter Chiefs also share a fairytale resurgence story heading into this final. The Chiefs endured a turbulent regular season last year, finishing ninth in the standings after changing manager three times. Rob Baxter has, so far, turned around the club's fortunes.
However, the real test awaits in the winners-take-all final as they face a Northampton Saints side that has set the standard this season. Can they upset Northampton to claim their third Premiership Rugby trophy? Let's dive into further details.

Northampton Saints - Exeter RC Chiefs: Form Analysis
Northampton Saints wrapped up their regular-season campaign with a nine-point defeat to Harlequins, losing 38–31. However, that wasn't enough to take the gloss off what has been a remarkable campaign for the Phil Dowson-led team. They won 14 of their 18 league matches in the season, drawing one and losing just three to finish top of the standings with 74 points – five clear of second-place Bath Rugby.
That impressive run includes a league-leading 31 points from six wins in nine matches away from home. The Jimmies eased past Leicester Tigers 45–31 in the semi-finals and will be looking to avenge their 31–14 Premiership Cup semi-final defeat to Exeter earlier this season.
Northampton Saints lead the Premiership in scoring this season, having tallied 738 points
Exeter Chiefs stunned last year's finalists Leicester Tigers 35–26 in their final regular-season fixture to finish third in the standings with 65 points. They thrashed Saracens 35–12 in the quarterfinals and overturned a 16-point first-half deficit with 17 unanswered points in the second half to edge defending champions Bath 27–26 in the semifinals.
However, Northampton Saints have been difficult opponents for them of late. They dropped points in both of their league meetings with Northampton this season and four of their last six Premiership Rugby encounters with them have ended in defeat.

Exeter will also have to keep a close eye on Northampton's chief creator Fin Smith, who has the most try assists (14) in the league season. They must also contend with the Jimmies' semi-final hero Alex Coles, who led the win against Leicester Tigers, winning two turnovers and making 14 tackles.
Exeter boss Rob Baxter will count on the experience of Scott Sio who is selected in the front row alongside hooker Max Norey and tighthead Josh Iosefa-Scott. Henry Slade has been terrific for the Chiefs this season, amassing a league-leading 191 points and will provide a major attacking threat from midfield.
Northampton will also do well to keep tabs on the Chiefs' playmaking duo Harvey Skinner and Stephen Varney, who have assisted 21 tries this season altogether. The pair line up at half-back, with Ethan Roots returning to the back-row after a head injury alongside Greg Fisilau and Tom Hooper.
