Denmark will be looking to book their spot in the knockout stages of the Women's World Cup when they take on Haiti Women in the final Group D match on Tuesday. The Danes are currently in second place with three points, while Haiti are at the foot of the table and has yet to register a point. Denmark have an identical record to China in third place, but they currently lead, having won their opening fixture against the Chinese 1-0. They put on a good effort against the group leaders, England in their last match but were unable to cut the deficit after going a goal down inside the first ten minutes of the match. Since coming second to France in the 2023 Tournoi de France, they have won three and lost two of their last five matches. With the favourable fixture for the final group-stage match, Denmark will be strongly fancied to join England in the next round. 

Meanwhile, Haiti are not mathematically knocked out of the competition just yet, but it’s very unlikely for them to find their way into the knockout stages. They would need to win this match by a margin of two or more goals and hope that England beat China. That looks like an even bigger task when considering that Haiti have not won any of their last six matches in all competition and are one of the lowest-ranked teams in the competition at 53rd. Haiti lost both their matches in this tournament 1-0, first against England and then against China, who played the majority of the match with ten players. They will want to put on a good performance in this match, but they will likely struggle against the 13th-ranked Danes.
