Francisco Cerundolo is the fourth seed in the Croatian Open but the second highest one remaining. His opening match is against wild card Matej Dodig who might not be that well-known to you. He will be after you read our analysis and prediction.
The winner of this match goes into the last eight and will play unseeded opposition, either Alexandre Muller or Lorenzo Sonego. Cerundolo is the world number 37 but up a place in the live rankings. This is his final tournament before the Paris Olympics.
WIth this tournament and the Olympics being played on clay, the Argentinian will hope for a good week in Umag. He reached the quarter finals last week in Hamburg and led Pedro Martinez by a set. Only five games were won in the next two though as he slumped to defeat.

Matej Dodig was down at 310th in the latest published rankings. The Croatian has received a wild card to play in this tournament. This is his first ever time in the main draw of an ATP Tour event and comes just days after his 19th birthday.
Round one saw him beat the qualifier Enzo Couacaud in three sets. He lost the first set but then won the next two for the loss of only five games. That comeback win has taken him to a career-high 285th in the live rankings.
He has had success on this surface on the ITF tour with four titles won. This is tough though and we tip Cerundolo to win in straight sets.
