Francisco Cerundolo vs Jaume Munar Prediction & Betting Tips - Roland Garros

23rd seed Francisco Cerundolo heads to Roland Garros in strong form. He takes on the unseeded Spaniard Jaume Munar in the first round. The winner of this match will take on either Thiago Monteiro or Benjamin Bonzi in round two. Saturday saw Cerundolo beaten by Arthur Fils in the Lyon Open clay court tournament final. The Argentinian beat Cameron Norrie in his way to that final. He's now 27th in the live rankings and has had some good wins so far in the European clay court season. As well as beating Norrie twice, he's had wins over Jannik Sinner and Casper Ruud. The Lyon tournament was the first final he's reached this year but prior to that he'd reached two quarter-finals in South America. The Argentinian is playing in the main draw at Roland Garros for the third time. He's yet to win a match but should be able to put that stat to bed here.

Jaume Munar is currently 80th in the live rankings but was just outside the top 50 at the start of the year. He's glad the clay court season has begun as he's yet to win an ATP Tour hard court match in 2023. Clay has gone better for the Spanish player with a run to the last four in Chile, including a win over Lorenzo Musetti. He also got to the quarter finals of a Challenger Tour event and last time out, the last 16 in Rome. Munar has twice played Cerundolo and lost on both occasions. The most recent meeting was on clay in the Argentinan Open with Cerundolo only dropping three games. It may well be closer here but Cerundolo is our tip to reach the second round.
