The final weekend of the 2023 Six Nations tournament has arrived, and after an incredible tournament, we will see France play host to Wales at Stade de France in the second match on Super Saturday. France still has an outside chance of retaining the title, though they will know that it is a long shot, with Ireland heavily favored to beat England and lift the title later in the day. Nevertheless, the French will know that nothing is a guarantee in the Six Nations and will have more than enough motivation to go out and put on another dominant display as they did last week when they thrashed England 53-10 at Twickenham. Another big win will keep them in contention until the final fixture later in the day. France will want to give their home fans some confidence with a home World Cup around the corner, and with the issues surrounding their opponents, they will be confident that they can register another big win in this one. 

Wales is in real trouble at the moment, with issues on and off the pitch evidently plaguing the proud nation’s performances. They managed to notch up their only win of the tournament in Rome last week, proving that they are still a better all-round side than the Italians, but they’ve done nothing in this tournament to suggest that they could pull off a victory against the mighty French. Wales will be looking forward to putting this tournament behind them and sorting out their contract disputes behind the scenes as quickly as possible so that they can build toward the World Cup later in the year. They will know that the French will be out for blood in this match, and it looks like the best the visitors can hope for is to contain their opponents and keep the scoreline respectable, though that will be much easier said than done.
