France go into this final match in the 2021 Six Nations with a chance of winning the title. They need to beat Scotland by 21 points and earn a bonus point to deny Wales the title. It looked as if Wales were going to win the title and the Grand Slam last week. However, France never gave up in their bid to keep their title hopes alive. A late try gave them the win and denied the Welsh team. Now they play their final game and need to get a big win to clinch the title on points difference. They will no doubt come out all guns a blazing looking for early points on the board. That will set them up well but know that a minimum of four tries will be required on Friday evening. Even then it might not be enough if Scotland can keep the margin between the two teams down below the 21 mark.

Scotland have 11 points from their four games and a win in Paris could see them finish in second. That'd be a big step forward for them and they might not even need a bonus point to do that. A win by six points would see them climb above Ireland and France. They have won two and lost two of their four 2021 Six Nations matches. Wins have come against England and Italy with defeats by Wales and Ireland. They only lost by a point to Wales and by three against Ireland, so they could easily have arrived in Paris chasing the title and a Grand Slam. Scotland have Finn Russell, Stuart Hogg, Chris Harris, George Turner and Ali Price back for this game. Changes have had to be made as only five England-based players could be selected for this game due to an agreement wit the English Premiership. Scotland last won in France in 1999 in a match played in Saint-Dennis. Not since 1995 have they won in Paris. That wait can be extended, go for France to win this game.
