France clash with Australia in the final Test of their November Internationals on Saturday at Stade de France. Can the Blues wrap up their campaign with a strong performance against the Wallabies? Follow through as we dive into further details and our prediction!
After dispatching Europe's best to secure their 19th continental championship title, things haven't looked good for Fabien Galthie's France since then. The Blues managed just one win from their five Tests afterwards. With the 2026 Six Nations Championship in the offing, this is another must-win Test for Fabien Galthie's men, at least, to boost their confidence ahead of the tournament. They have dominated the Wallabies in their last four encounters, including their last two encounters.
Australia have yet to recover from their disappointing outing in the 2025 Rugby Championship. Joe Schmidt's side's end-of-year tour of Europe has been nothing short of a disaster. They will be desperate to turn the corner and recover their pride with a strong showing at Stade de France on Saturday.

France - Australia: Form Analysis
Toulouse fullback Thomas Ramos' set-piece heroics and Bordeaux Begles center Nicolas Depoortère's brace of tries made the difference as France defeated eighth-ranked Fiji in their last Test. The Blues won both halves to ease past the Pacific opponents 34-21 at Stade de France.
That result ended a dismal run of four consecutive defeats (including a 3-0 series loss to New Zealand) for Fabien Galthie's side. Notably, the 2011 Rugby World Cup finalists have won seven of their last eight home Tests, five of which by double-digit margins.
France hold a solid 3-0-1 record against Australia in their last four meetings
Australia have endured a rough stretch in their end-of-year tour of Europe. They opened the tour in London, where they conceded 15 unanswered points in the second half and fell 25-7 to England. Another second-half blunder saw them surrender a three-point lead to fall 26-19 against lower-ranked Italy in their second Test of the tour in Udine.
This poor run of results continued in their third and most recent clash against Ireland in Dublin, where they fell 46-19. They have also lost both of their recent matchups with France.

France & Australia Squad Analysis
Bordeaux Bègles' flyer Louis Bielle-Biarrey will headline France's offense in Saturday's cracker. The reigning Six Nations Best Player and World Cup Player of the Year Nominee remains a potent attacking threat in the French backline after spearheading France's Six Nations triumph, scoring a record eight tries in five matches.
Louis Bielle-Biarrey has racked up an astonishing 18 tries in 21 caps for France
Fly-half Romain Ntamack, who has won 42 caps with the Blues and renowned for his playmaking abilities, is expected to return at No. 10. Maxime Lucu will continue to stand in for veteran scrum-half Antoine DuPont who is still nursing a cruciate ligament injury.
Australia heads into this match with piling injury cases. Leading the list is first-choice fly-half Noah Lolesio who has been on a lengthy layoff due to neck surgery. Lock Will Skelton picked up an ankle blow while on club duties with La Rochelle and is also out. The Wallabies are thinner on the forward line with another lock Josh Canham also out after picking up an injury against Japan.
Nevertheless, the French side will have to keep an eye on the Wallabies' key back-rower Harry Wilson, who is renowned for his ball-carrying ability and strength, including sensational lock Jeremy Williams.

Our France vs Australia Prediction
Despite their recent poor results, France head into this match as favourites, sitting two places above Australia in the World Rugby rankings. Fabien Galthie's side have also made Stade de France a near-fortress with an impressive winning record in their last eight games at the venue.
Moreover, they have dominated Australia, winning three of their last four encounters with the Wallabies. Meanwhile, Joe Schmidt's men have struggled lately, losing their last three games, two of which by double digits. Our France vs Australia prediction is Australia -16.5 handicap points.
