Fiji vs Georgia Prediction & Betting Tips - Rugby World Cup

Fiji take on Georgia in Pool C of the 2023 Rugby World Cup and it's a vitally important game for them.  With two games to play, they are in second place in the pool and in with a great chance of making it out of the pool. Fiji have only twice made it into the quarter finals, the last time being in 2007. This tournament could well end a 16 year wait for the country ranked eighth in the world (six places above their opponents). They only narrowly lost to pool leaders Wales in their first match, losing 32-26 but earning a losing bonus point. Then came the big shock when Fiji defeated Australia 22-15. With the Wallabies subsequently losing to Wales, Fiji are the favorites at present to take the second qualifying place in the pool. This game against Georgia is followed by a final pool match against Portugal. Four or possibly five points from those two games will see them in the last eight.

Georgia only have faint hopes of making it into the last eight. They'd have to beat Fiji and Wales (most likely with winning bonus points) to get through and no one sees that happening. They are yet to win in this pool going down 36-15 to Australia and then drawing 18-18 with Portugal. Georgia needed a 78th minute try to rescue a point from that match. That's left the 'Lelos'  fourth in the pool, four points behind the second qualifying position. A win over Fiji would be only their second against them in seven matches. While they are strong at European Championship level, wins over top nations don't happen a lot. We go for Fiji to win this and be ahead at both half and full time.
