An unseeded player will qualify for the quarter-finals of the indoor hard court Almaty Open. Qualifier Nikoloz Basilashvili takes on unseeded Facundo Diaz Acosta in round two of this ATP 250 tournament. Basilashvili has already had three straight sets victories this week and our prediction is he will win this match.

Nikoloz Basilashvili is the world number 128, but was as high as 16th in 2019. He had to qualify to get into this main draw and did so with straight sets wins over Taro Daniel and Adam Walton. Those wins earned him a first round match against Marin Cilic, which he won 6-2 7-5.
A win here will take him into his second ATP Tour quarter-final in a month, having reached the last eight in Chengdu.
Facundo Diaz Acosta caused a surprise in round one when he beat the eighth seed Thiago Agustin Tirante. He had to come from a set down to win that match. It's a rare match away from clay for Acosta who has played 62 matches on that surface this year with six Challenger Tour titles won.
The win over Tirante was the first indoor hard victory of his career.
