England vs Scotland Prediction & Betting Tips - Six Nations

England won the Six Nations tournament last year and begin their defence with a home game against Scotland. They are again favourites to win the Six Nations but don't have anything like a full-strength squad. Five forwards are missing at present and will have inexperienced Ollie Lawrence and Cameron Redpath for this match. This means switching their captain Owen Farrell to the number 10 position. Even so, they will want to build on their Six Nations and Autumn Nations triumphs of 2020. They bid to get a win over a Scottish side that hasn't won at Twickenham since 1983. England coach Eddie Jones believes the importance of this match, that has the Calcutta Cup at stake, can often be too much for the Scottish side who love nothing more than getting a win over their English rivals.

Scotland finished fourth in the Six Nations last year, only four points behind England. They were also the only team to beat France but that was achieved on home soil. Away form for Scotland often lets them down. They did show some improvement last year though winning in Wales. That victory was their first away win in the Six Nations since 2010 that wasn't achieved in Italy. Up against an English side that hasn't lost a home Six Nations match in nine years, they face a tough task, even if England are without a few players. They have some flair in Russell and Hogg but sometimes struggle in the physical side of the game. Go for England to win this match and be ahead at both half and full time.
