Round two of the Six Nations will conclude with England welcoming Italy to Twickenham for an important clash on Sunday, with both sides looking to register their first win in the competition. The hosts head into the match as the favourites but put on an underwhelming display against Scotland in their last match, which has brought about a few concerns for the newly appointed coach Steve Borthwick. England has not won any of their last three matches at home, and their win over Japan in November was their only one in their last six matches. However, the hosts have never lost against Italy and will fancy themselves to get their tournament underway at the second time of asking.

Despite losing to France in their opening match, Italy will be brimming with belief after almost pulling off one of the greatest-ever Six Nations upsets in that match. Italy had their chances to put that game to bed, heading into the final stages of the match in the lead, but was unable to convert three late penalties, which left the door open for a France comeback. Italy had a very poor 2022 but does come into this match having won three of their last four away test matches, and after running France so close, they may fancy themselves to upset England and record what would be a historic win for themselves in this one.
