17th seed Daria Kasatkina faces French wild card Leolia Jeanjean in round two of the French Open. For the winner of this outdoor clay court tournament, there's a third round match against either tenth-seed Paula Badosa or unseeded Elena-Gabriela Ruse. Here's our match prediction.

Kasatkina is playing her first Grand Slam since beginning to represent Australia. There has been plenty of success for Kasatkina at Roland Garros with the semi-finals reached in 2022 following a last eight appearance four years before that.

The 28-year-old is at 17th in the live rankings and has won three of her seven clay court matches played this year. The Australian had lost three successive matches before beating Katerina Siniakova in three sets in the first round at Roland Garros.

Leolia Jeanjean made it to round three of this tournament in 2022 and lost to Irina-Camelia Begu. This year saw her get revenge with a first round win. That didn't look likely when losing the first set 6-0. Jeanjean levelled and then Begu retired when 3-0 down in the decider.

The 29-year-old is now up to a career-high 90th in the live rankings  One ITF clay court final has been reached this year and a semi-final in Saint-Malo.
