The Czech Republic are off to a flying start in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with two wins in two. Their third match will offer the biggest test so far, as they play host to Montenegro in Group L. Bookies’ predictions for this match still place them as favorites.

Playing at home, the Czech will be looking to open up a three-point buffer, with Montenegro snapping at their heels. They started off with a 2-1 win over the Faroe Islands at home and then followed up with a much more comfortable 4-0 win away in Gibraltar.

With three straight wins and a 5-0 head-to-head lead, there’s no doubt why the Czechs are the favorites here.

Montenegro also had a flying start to their campaign, beating Gibraltar (3-1) and the Faroe Islands (1-0). Having played both matches at home, Montenegro will now hope for a better outing on the road, having struggled on that front.
