2025 Currie Cup matchday four will see second-placed Free State Cheetahs play host to bottom-placed Western Province on Saturday. The Cheetahs will aim for the maximum points against Province to go top of the rankings. Here is our prediction for the match. 

After a narrow 37-35 defeat to Boland Cavaliers in the opening weekend, Free State Cheetahs wouldn't have asked for a stronger bounce-back. They smashed Airlink Pumas 42-25 in their second fixture and edged out Hollywoodbets Sharks XV 7-5 away in their last match. 

François Steyn's side, sitting second with 11 points, could open a four-point gap at the top of the table with a win on Saturday. They have won their last six encounters with Western Province. 

Head coach Labeeb Levy is under pressure leading Western Province into this match. They are languishing at the bottom of the rankings with 0 points, having lost all their three matches this season. 

The Cape Town-based outfit have also endured a long losing streak on the road. They have lost each of their last five away Currie Cup matches, four of which by double-digit margins. Overturning this poor run of form on Saturday will be a tall order for the Labeeb Levy-led side.
