2022 runner-up Casper Ruud takes on 22nd seed Nicolas Jarry in round four of the Miami Open. Ruud is the seventh seed in this outdoor hard court Masters 1000 tournament. For the winner there's a quarter final against either defending champion Daniil Medvedev or unseeded Dominik Koepfer. Ruud is the world number eight in the world rankings and the Live ATP Race. A win here will take him up to sixth in the latter list. He's in highly consistent form at present with two finals reached in his last three tournaments. The other saw him get to the last eight at Indian Wells. So far in Miami. he's been taken to three sets by Luis van Assche and in round three, defeated 27th seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in straight sets. He leads Jarry 2-1 in previous meetings with the only loss being sustained on clay.

Nicolas Jarry had never made it past round two in Miami before this year. The Chilean was ranked 23rd at the start of this tournament but only 30th in the Live ATP Race. Jarry has reached one hard court quarter final this year. That was in Auckland in January but he's not done so well on hard courts until this week. His best results have come on clay with a final reached in Buenos Aires. This week has seen him beat unseeded Jack Draper in three sets (middle set lost) and then he had to come from behind to beat qualifier Thiago Seyboth Wild. We tip Ruud to win this match.
